Things to do in Tokyo
Tokyo is a big city with a population of more than 1.38 million people. The views from the Sky Tree, as well as the Tokyo Tower, which is the symbol of Tokyo, are impeccable. There is so much to see here, such as Senso-ji Temple which gives off an authentic Japanese vibe, the sight of people crossing the intersection at the Shibuya Scramble Crossing, and Odaiba which overlooks the Tokyo Bay, that you will never get sick of it. Explore this buzzing capital to discover a city steeped in culture, experience world-class cuisine, or shop till you drop at its eclectic malls and boutiques.
- Roam around the Tsukiji Fish Market located in central Tokyo, which is filled with fresh produce including vegetables and meat. The main attraction in the market is obviously the fish, and particularly the ‘maguro’ (bluefin tuna).
- Visit one of Tokyo’s biggest landmarks, the Tokyo Sky Tree which boasts a height of 634
meter . Enjoy the view of Tokyo from the observation deck, shop in the centers below, or visit the aquariums. - Explore the Imperial Palace in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo from the east side garden. Famously known as the residence of the Emperor and located in the Edo Castle Ruins that Shogun Tokugawa had as a residence until the end of the Edo period.
- Enjoy an iconic spot, Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. Immerse in the traditional Japanese town atmosphere on Nakamise Shopping Street which is located right in front of the temple.
- Stop by the Tokyo National Museum located in the Taitō Ward and discover the city’s ample collection of ancient Japanese art, including samurai swords, Buddhist statues, pottery ,
and beautiful kimonos. - Shop Ameya Yokocho (Ameyoko), an energetic shopping district with over 400 stores. You can find everything from food, clothing
